What to expect at your first yoga class
The room is heated to between 38 and 40 degrees Celsius. Our hot yoga classes are specifically designed sequences, practiced for 60 or 90 minutes. The increased room temperature aids in warming the muscles and increasing the flexibility of the body tissues, allowing for deeper stretching and helping to prevent injury.
We teach a series of stretches and compressions that exercise your muscles, joints, ligaments, tendons, organs, nerves and glands. Upon release of a posture, fresh oxygenated blood travels through and rejuvenates the vessels and tissues that were being compressed.
Each and every posture has medical benefits and you’ll probably get the best cardio workout you’ve had for quite a while. After only a few sessions: you’ll feel stronger; have better posture; toned muscles; a calmer outlook; better sleep patterns, and definitely more flexibility.
Hot Yoga is perfect for beginners to advanced practitioners and it does not matter if you are very flexible and lack strength; or if you are strong and lack flexibility: at Hot Yoga you can work on both strength and flexibility. Yoga is not about how flexible you are, but about strengthening your body and spine in all directions to achieve optimal health.
How to prepare for your first hot yoga class
Drink plenty of water on the day you are attending the hot yoga, come to class hydrated.
You will need a towel for your mat (to cover your whole mat) and a yoga mat. We also offer a yoga mat and towel rental service and sell water and coconut water at reception.
Do not eat at least 1 to 2 hours before you attend class: remember you will be compressing your stomach and working your digestive system.
We recommend wearing tight, lycra active-wear to your first session as you will be more comfortable in the heat. For ladies, a lycra singlet or sports bra and Capri leggings or cycling shorts is suitable. For men, cycling shorts or shorts with built in support and a breathable top or just go bare-chested.
Arrive 30 minutes before your first class, so that you can complete a health questionnaire and familiarise yourself with the studio. Please note, late-comers are not allowed into the class once it’s started.
We have changing rooms, lockers, showers and hair dryers for your use.

A perfect blend of hot-flow and slow, meditative stretching to open the body. After class, I felt at peace and had a degree of unrestricted movement I hadn't felt in a while. I would thoroughly recommend, and request this class to be held more frequently.

Wonderful yin yoga class on Sunday! Great thing to do on a Sunday morning to reset mind and body. All of those who took part in the class were super lovely! I will definitely be back.
